April 2011
May is coming soon and there will be so much going on. Finals, Review Boards, Lykke Li Concert, Job-Searching, Art-Making… If you think at art school you make a piece and then it is ‘finished’, you’re absolutely misguided. All of my artwork is going to have to be revised before Review Boards, so I can do as well as possible. I also have to scrounge up my sketchbooks, they are scattered everywhere between here and there. I have no studio space so my walls are littered with my artwork so they don’t get destroyed by being shoved in the closet. Gosh I have so much work to do soon! I have to put tracing paper on all of my artwork as to protect it, as well as create labels for absolutely everything and create a ‘spiffy’ name tag for my designated review-section.
This summer I am going to be working on my painting skills and my colored pencil skills. And my digital skills actually, I feel it would be fitting to work out the kinks in illustrator/photoshop.
I’m a happy busy bee. Things in my life are much more organized in some sense. A strong lone wolf ready to take on the art world. Well, I’m not really ready to take on the art world. At all! But I will be. I’m ready to start blossoming. I really love my school. I really love my new friends and my old friends. I love that I go out more often and experience new and nice things.
Summer is coming soon for me and I really cannot wait until I can visit my old friends back home and go to the beach and relax a little bit. Not worry so much. But for now, the stress and anxiety are taking up most of my time.
This is the last leg. I know I can get all my work done, and I’m determined to do well on my review boards. Imma kick some ass y’all, and you can’t stop me.
